Sheepskin’s traditional Welsh Farmhouse, Manal

Manal is a traditional Welsh Farmhouse  in a valley with just 2 distant farms as your neighbours – a complete escape from city life.

Just 20 minutes from Carmarthen yet hidden in the peace and tranquility of the ancient Brechfa Forest.  Manal holds on to its simplicity and remains disconnected from the outside world so that it can be your rustic, rural retreat. The perfect escape from the hectic city life and those dreading the madness of the Olympic Games!

Love Llandeilo

Take a half an hour drive from Manal to the historic village of Llandeilo that sits proudly on a hill above the river Tywi. Pack a picnic to enjoy down by river.  Take a walk in to the town and discover a fascinating market town with some great, independent shops…

Close to nature

National Wetland Centre  is ideal for the serious bird watcher or a family with young children. With 450 acres there is plenty to see and the perfect place to tire out energetic children! Every child loves to feed the ducks, at the Wetland Centre there are hundreds to feed from swans, perching ducks and in the right season new hatched ducklings.

Let’s go to the beach

Manal is just over an hour’s drive to the beautiful Cardigan Bay where you can enjoy the sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, coastal footpaths and charming towns and villages. It is the largest bay in Wales and where the water joins the Irish Sea and has the largest populations of bottle nose dolphins in the UK.

Delicious local produce…

Here at Sheepskin,  we recommend our guests to visit Y Polyn Restaurant where everything from bread to ice cream is made on the premises. Nothing tastes better than fresh home-made bread in our opinion!

The atmosphere here is warm and welcoming it is worth popping in just for a locally brewed pint!  so do include Y Polyn when planning your stay at Manal – the perfect dining experience for a special occasion or just a casual lunch.
